Based at the Mt Druitt Aboriginal Health Hub, Mt Druitt Hospital, you'll join a team committed to improving health outcomes through community engagement, education, prevention and accessible services. What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in turning health promotion strategies into practical, community-focused initiatives. From program planning and outreach to partnership development and evaluation, you'll help deliver initiatives that make prevention information and services more accessible to priority populations.

- Lead the planning, development,



implementation and evaluation of health promotion initiatives aligned with NSW Health strategies and HARP priorities.

- Deliver outreach and support regular sexual health and blood borne virus screening services in community and sex-on-premises venue settings.

- Create campaigns and resources, including social marketing and promotional activities, to increase awareness and engagement.

- Build partnerships with community, government and non-government organisations and engage directly with local communities.

- Coordinate and evaluate events, training, reporting, work plans and program activities to ensure initiatives remain effective and responsive to local needs.

Essential Requirements:

Qualification: Undergraduate Degree in related field
Evidence of Diversity claim: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Selection Criteria:

1. Have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures and have established links with their local Aboriginal community.

2. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and/or abilities in Health Promotion planning,



implementation and evaluation, preferably with a focus on HIV/STI/Hepatitis.

3. Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity towards the issues affecting the priority populations including Aboriginal community, young people and gay and homosexually active men in the NSW HIV, Sexually Transmissible Infections and Hepatitis B & C Strategies.

4. Demonstrated experience and suitability to work with gay and homosexually active men within the outreach setting of a sex on premises venue.

5. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

6. Demonstrated experience and/or abilities in building and maintaining successful partnerships with relevant partners including government and non-government organisations and community based organisations.

7. Flexibility to work rotating shifts.

8. Current Drivers Licence valid within New South Wales
