We are seeking a warm and experienced Live-In Au Pair from early October 2026 to support a wonderful family with two young children, aged 1 and 3 years, near Bangalow, approximately 20 minutes from Byron Bay.

This is a full-time live-in position set on a beautiful property. The role is full time - approximately 40 hours per week, with some flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends. The role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys caring for young children, is confident with toddler and infant routines, loves animals and is happy to become a trusted and valued part of family life.

The primary focus will be on childcare, including feeding, naps, play, outings and age-appropriate developmental activities, along with maintaining the children’s day-to-day routines.
The successful candidate will also assist with child-related household duties such as washing and folding the children’s laundry, cleaning bottles and equipment, keeping play and nursery areas organised, and preparing simple homemade meals and food for the children.
The family have a housekeeper, so general housekeeping is not a major part of the role, although some light household assistance will occasionally be required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide warm, attentive care and supervision for children aged 14 months and 3 years
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging environment
• Follow and support daily routines including meals, naps, play and outings
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate developmental and recreational activities




• Prepare simple meals and homemade food for the children
• Clean and maintain bottles, feeding equipment and child-related items
• Manage children’s laundry including washing, folding and putting away
• Keep nursery, play and children’s areas clean and organised
• Assist with light child-related household duties as required
• Provide occasional evening and weekend care
• Travel interstate and internationally with the family on occasion
• Adapt to the family’s schedule and changing needs with flexibility

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Previous nanny, au pair or childcare experience, ideally with infants and toddlers
• Warm, nurturing and naturally caring personality
• Reliable, versatile and committed to a regular work schedule
• Confident managing routines for two young children
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable around cats and dogs
• Valid driver’s licence essential – vehicle provided
• First Aid and CPR highly regarded
• Excellent contactable childcare references
• Full working rights in Australia for a minimum of 6 months
