Excavator Operators - Civil Construction

$43-$47/hr + Penalties & Allowances | $50+ Transition Rate | ASAP Start | Ongoing Work

701 Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our team and work across a range of civil construction projects throughout South East Queensland.

We're looking for operators who are confident on the machine, have strong civil experience and can assist with detailed excavation and final trim works.

- $43-$47/hr + penalties & allowances, dependent on experience (casual rate)
- $50+ per hour transition rate following a successful transition into the role
- Transport expenses covered
- Fuel card provided once established in the role
- Full-time operators will be provided with their own ute
- ASAP starts available
- Ongoing work with opportunities for long-term employment
- Projects ranging from the Gold Coast through to the Sunshine Coast

Long-term applicants must be flexible and prepared to work across projects from the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast as required.

About the role

Your duties may include:

- Operating excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction sites (Operating 5T,14T,



20T- Must be confident operating smaller machines)
- Working in tight proximity to other plant and overhead/underground services
- Digging around footings
- Stripping footings
- Basic trimming
- Final trimming to within a 30mm tolerance
- Bulk excavation and earthworks
- Trenching and detailed excavation
- Loading trucks and moving materials
- Working around existing services and other plant
- Completing daily pre-starts and basic machine checks
- Assisting with general labouring duties when required

What you'll need:

- Excavator RII - mandatory
- White Card
- Flexibility to work across Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast project
- Own reliable transport
- Proven experience operating excavators in a civil construction workplace
- Ability to final trim to within a 30mm tolerance
- GPS experience highly regarded, but not essential
- Strong understanding of civil construction practices
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-focused attitude
