About the role

The Family Day Care Educational Leader provides educational leadership, operational support, regulatory compliance oversight, and professional mentoring to educators within Zoe Kids Family Day Care. This position is responsible for ensuring the service delivers high-quality education and care that aligns with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and approved learning frameworks. The Educational Leader will mentor educators, promote continuous improvement, strengthen partnerships with families and communities, and ensure the safety, wellbeing, learning, and development of all children attending the service.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of educational programs across the Family Day Care service

- Mentor and support educators to implement high-quality, play based learning experiences

- Promote curriculum practices aligned with EYLF and MTOP

- Support educators to plan, document, assess, and reflect on children's learning and development

- Ensure educational programs respond to children's strengths, interests, abilities, and individual learning needs

- Support educators to implement inclusive practices that promote equity, diversity, and cultural responsiveness

- Fulfil the duties of a Responsible Person when placed in day to day charge of the service

- Support compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, National Quality Standard and Family Assistance Law

- Promote and uphold the Child Safe Standards, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, inclusion, participation and empowerment of all children

- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Family Day Care educators

About you

- Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education recognised by ACECQA; or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or approved equivalent)

- Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting qualification





- Current ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis Management training

- Current ACECQA-approved Emergency Asthma Management training

- Current Working with Children Check (Employee)

- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Minimum three (3) years' experience in an Early Childhood leadership role; or minimum five (5) years' experience working within an Early Childhood Education and Care service

- Demonstrated understanding of Education and Care Services National Law 2010, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, National Quality Standard (NQS), National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time, Our Place (MTOP), Family Assistance Law, Child Protection legislation, Child Secure Standards, and Workplace Health and Safety legislation

- Excellent communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills

- Strong organisational, compliance, and reporting skills
