- About the role

Transport company is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Allocator to join our dynamic team in Botany, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient allocation and dispatch of our fleet of vehicles to ensure timely delivery of goods to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

- Schedule and allocate delivery jobs to our fleet of drivers, taking into account factors such as vehicle availability, driver skills, and delivery timelines

- Liaise closely with clients to understand their delivery requirements and priorities

- Monitor the progress of deliveries in real-time and make adjustments as needed to optimise efficiency

- Communicate with drivers to provide updates, instructions, and address any issues that arise

- Maintain comprehensive records of all delivery activities and prepare reports as required

- Collaborate with the wider operations team to identify and implement process improvements

What we're looking for

- Experience in a transport or logistics role, with a strong understanding of road transport operations is preferred but not mandatory

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, drivers, and team members

- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills,



with the ability to multitask and work under pressure

- Proficient in using transport management and GPS tracking systems

- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to work shifts as required

- A valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain a forklift licence would be highly advantageous

- Current Heavy Vehicle License would be advantageous
