McNally delivers turnkey design, manufacturing and construction solutions for mining villages and non-process infrastructure across Western Australia.
We are looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on Storeperson to support our modular manufacturing and construction operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with basic stores, warehouse, yard, logistics, manufacturing or materials-handling experience who is ready to build their skills in a busy project-based environment. You do not need years of stores experience, but you do need to be organised, safety-conscious, willing to learn and able to follow through on tasks properly.
You will help ensure materials, components, tools and consumables are received, recorded, stored, picked and issued accurately so our manufacturing, project and site teams have what they need, when they need it.
This is a full-time Perth-based role, Monday to Friday, working approximately 45-50 hours per week.
At McNally, we take the work seriously, but not ourselves. Fun is one of our values, so laughter and light-hearted moments are part of how we build strong teams, stay resilient and enjoy the challenge. You will suit us if you are reliable, organised, communicate clearly, take responsibility, play above the line and bring an All in mindset.
The role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will support the safe and efficient operation of McNally’s stores function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders, delivery dockets and supporting documentation
- Inspecting goods for quantity, condition and damage, and reporting shortages, incorrect items or discrepancies
- Accurately recording goods received, stock movements, transfers, returns and stock issues
- Labelling, locating and storing materials, components,
tools and consumables in designated storage areas
- Picking, preparing and issuing materials to manufacturing, fabrication, project and site teams
- Maintaining accurate stock quantities, bin locations and inventory records
- Undertaking stocktakes and cycle counts, investigating discrepancies and assisting with stock reconciliation
- Monitoring stock levels and advising Procurement of shortages, damaged items or emerging material requirements
- Quarantining damaged, incorrect or non-conforming goods and supporting return or replacement processes
- Assisting with staging, packing and preparation of materials for project dispatch, internal transfer or site mobilisation
- Coordinating with suppliers, couriers and transport providers for deliveries and collections
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and materials-handling equipment safely when trained, licensed and authorised
- Maintaining the store, warehouse and surrounding work areas in a clean, safe and organised condition
- Working collaboratively with Procurement, Materials, Logistics, Manufacturing, QA/QC and HSEQ teams
About you
You are practical, reliable and methodical. You take pride in keeping stores organised, records accurate and materials moving safely and efficiently.
You understand that a strong stores function is critical to project delivery. You notice discrepancies early, keep communication explicit and do not wait for small issues to become bigger problems.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as a Storeperson, Warehouse Operator, Stores Assistant or similar
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, mining, engineering or modular building environments will be highly regarded
- Experience receiving, storing, picking, issuing and controlling materials, components, tools or consumables
- Good computer skills, including accurate data entry and confidence using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to use or learn inventory, warehouse, procurement or ERP systems
- Experience with stocktakes, stock reconciliation and maintaining warehouse locations
- Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF), essential
- Current Australian Driver Licence, essential
- Construction White Card, desirable
- Ability and willingness to undertake regular manual handling and physical stores duties
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- A genuine commitment to safety, teamwork and McNally’s values
What we offer
- Full-time Perth-based role
- Monday to Friday, approximately 45-50 hours per week (penalty rates apply)
- Exposure to modular manufacturing and WA resources projects
- Supportive project, manufacturing, procurement and logistics teams
- A values-led culture that backs people who take pride in their work
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program
At McNally, our purpose is to build better: better people, better relationships and better projects.
