Operations Manager

Who you will be working withYou’ll be joining a close-knit, hands-on manufacturing business producing precast concrete products for major civil, construction and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland.
Known for quality products, reliable delivery and strong customer relationships, the business has built a solid reputation within the industry. You’ll work closely with the owners and a small, experienced workshop team, giving you genuine visibility across the entire operation and the ability to make decisions without layers of corporate bureaucracy.

Duties and responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of a busy precast concrete manufacturing facility
- Coordinate production scheduling, workflow and resources to meet customer deadlines
- Lead quality, safety and environmental compliance across the site
- Maintain ISO and TMR accreditation requirements in conjunction with an external consultant
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and contractors to support successful project delivery
- Support estimating, quotations, workforce planning, performance management and continuous improvement initiatives

We are looking for someone with

- Proven operations or production management experience within precast concrete, concrete manufacturing or civil construction
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, quality and safety systems
- Experience working within ISO-accredited environments
- Exposure to TMR specifications or infrastructure quality requirements highly regarded
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- A practical, hands-on approach with strong organisational, communication and commercial skills
