A national civil construction leader delivering complex infrastructure, transport and energy projects is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its South Australian team. With a strong reputation for integrated engineering and construction delivery, the business continues to expand following the award of a new DIT project.

This role offers genuine progression, technical ownership, and the opportunity to contribute to major civil works across the state.

Role Overview
As Senior Project Engineer, you will provide high‑quality engineering leadership, project programming and contract management while working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
You will take a key role in driving technical outcomes, coordinating site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

- Leading engineering activities across all stages of project delivery
- Coordinating Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing project programs and supporting commercial performance
- Ensuring compliance with design, specifications, temporary works and WHS requirements
- Providing technical guidance to site personnel and interpreting engineering documentation
- Managing fabrication, construction sequencing and overall project scheduling




- Participating in subcontract tender evaluations and scope reviews
- Preparing progress, cost, manpower and procurement reports
- Monitoring construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements
- Identifying and advising on corrective actions to maintain project progress
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of project reporting and schedule information
- Overseeing inspection practices and mentoring Site Engineers
- Verifying temporary works designs and conducting progressive engineering audits

Background & Experience

To be considered, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Senior Project Engineer experience within civil infrastructure
- Strong technical capability and understanding of project management principles
- Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver work to strict timelines
- Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Exposure to bulk earthworks, energy infrastructure, and DIT projects
- Willingness to undertake DIDO/FIFO work when required for remote energy projects
- Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
