About the Role
As Store Manager at our new Burwood facility, you’ll have the unique opportunity to be part of the store from the beginning – helping establish operations, build local awareness and create the customer experience Roomia is known for.

Burwood will offer traditional self storage alongside a significant climate-controlled storage offering, including dedicated wine storage.





This is a hands-on role. You’ll balance customer sales, facility operations, administration and property presentation while taking ownership of overall store performance.

You’ll be supported by an experienced operations and head office team while having the opportunity to shape the culture and success of one of Roomia's newest locations.

Key Responsibilities include:

Customer Service and Sales

- Welcome customers and take the time to understand what they need

- Match customers with the right self storage, climate-controlled or wine storage solution

- Convert enquiries into customers through genuine, consultative conversations

- Identify and implement opportunities for local business growth

Operations

- Manage daily operations, including rental rate reviews and the delinquency process

- Conduct regular safety and compliance checks in line with OH&S; requirements

Facility Presentation

- Maintain the presentation of the store, units and customer areas to a high standard

- Understand operational requirements for systems such as fire alarms, gates, lighting and security

Reporting and Administration

- Maintain accurate customer records and storage agreements

- Manage store accounts and follow up on overdue payments





- Prepare business performance updates and ensure procedures are followed

Leadership & Culture

- Lead by example and help create a positive, customer-first store culture

- Support, coach and work closely with the Assistant Store Manager

- Contribute ideas and feedback as we establish our first wine storage offering and continue to grow the Roomia network

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and genuine care for customers.

You’ll ideally have:

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills

- Experience leading a retail, service, property or customer-facing operation

- Strong organisational, sales and relationship-building skills

- Valuable computer skills, including Microsoft Office

- Previous self storage or retail sales management experience highly regarded, but not essential
