About Foxwell Magic

Foxwell Magic has been a much-loved early learning service in the Coomera community for 11 years.

We have recently completed an exciting extension, growing from six rooms to eight rooms, and our service still feels brand new.

We are proud of the team and culture we have created. Many of our educators have been with us for years, with team members who have been part of Foxwell Magic for 10, 8 and 6 years, as well as many others who have been with us for more than a year.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced educator to join our leadership team as Third in Charge (3IC).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their leadership skills and gain a well-rounded understanding of early childhood service operations.

Your role will be a combination of supporting the educators and children on the floor while also developing your leadership and administration skills.

When the Director or Assistant Director are away, you will step into the office and take on additional leadership responsibilities. During these periods, you will receive training and support to develop your skills across the Assistant Director role.

This means you won't just be learning one small part of centre leadership — you will gain exposure to the day-to-day and year-to-year operations of a busy early learning service.

What You'll Be Doing

On the floor, you will:

* Support educators and children throughout the day

* Provide positive and professional leadership to the team

* Assist with maintaining high standards across the service

* Step in and support rooms when required

* Help problem-solve and keep the day running smoothly





* Build positive relationships with children, families and educators

* Lead by example with a calm, professional and positive approach

As part of your leadership development, you will also gain experience supporting:

* Centre administration and daily operations

* Staff organisation and coordination

* Centre tours and family enrolment enquiries

* Social media

* Newsletter creation

* Centre events and celebrations

* Communication with families

* Leadership and team support

* Compliance and operational requirements

* The broader responsibilities of the Director and Assistant Director

This is a genuine leadership development chance.

You will get to see what happens behind the scenes of a successful early childhood service and develop an understanding of the many different areas that contribute to running a centre.

The Person We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is ready to step up.

You might already be working as a Lead Educator, Senior Educator or aspiring 2IC/3IC and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience.

Essential Requirements

You will have:

* Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent

* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications

* Current GECKO training

* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard

* Previous experience working in an early childhood education and care environment

* A genuine interest in developing your leadership skills

Previous formal leadership experience is highly regarded, but we are also interested in educators who are ready to take that next step and have the right attitude, initiative and values.
