About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager at our new Burwood facility, you’ll have the unique opportunity to be part of the store from the beginning – helping establish operations, build local awareness and create the customer experience Roomia is known for, while enjoying the flexibility to balance study, family or other life commitments.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll assist customers, respond to enquiries, support sales, complete administration and help keep the facility looking its best.

You’ll work closely with the Store Manager and be supported by an experienced operations and head office team as we establish one of Roomia’s newest locations.

This part-time role is scheduled across three days, including a fixed Saturday shift from 9 am to 2 pm. The remaining hours (up to 15 per week) can be arranged flexibly to suit school hours or other commitments. You’ll enjoy work-life balance while still playing a vital role in our team.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Welcome customers and take the time to understand what they need

- Match customers with the right self storage, climate-controlled or wine storage solution

- Convert enquiries into customers through genuine, consultative conversations

- Support the Store Manager with daily operations, taking the responsibility for the store when required

- Ensure all units and grounds are always clean, safe, and well-presented

- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented company culture

Our ideal candidate

- Proven computer and literacy skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects

- Accurate filing and record-keeping skills

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to solve problems, resolve conflict, and build lasting customer relationships
