We currently seek an experienced Fire Technician to join our Bibra Lake team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of life-saving equipment, whether it be on commercial vessels or on some of the world's most advanced oil and gas facilities.
About the position
In close cooperation with the team, your primary responsibilities are:
- Inspection and testing of various fixed and portable fire suppression equipment
- Service and maintenance of life support and breathing air equipment, liferafts and lifejackets
- Service of pressure vessels and medical oxygen equipment
- Pressure testing of hoses, gauges, cylinders and pressure relief valves
- Manage assigned tasks/projects from start to completion
- Cooperate, maintain close contact,
and provide full support to the Service Coordinators and Operations Manager to meet Company and customer expectations
- Follow and maintain safety standards
About You
The ideal candidate has experience in a similar position and is committed to providing quality work to an exceptional standard. Additionally, you must have:
- Current and valid working rights in Australia
- Ability to travel and work offshore
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Windows based programs
- High attention to detail and adaptability
- Eligibility to apply for / hold a MISC
- Basic mechanical aptitude
