YHA Sydney Central YHA Sydney Central is located the heart of the city centre and close to all the action. This award-winning hostel, with indoor pool offers guests panoramic views of the city from the rooftop outdoor area. YHA Sydney Central offers shared dormitory accommodation as well as private rooms. The property has two commercial kitchens, spacious dining rooms, an underground bar, cinema room, cafe and lounge areas and a guest laundry.

We’re looking for a Part time Food and Beverage Attendant to join the team. You will get to work a variety of shifts including breakfast, dinners and some events or functions hosted at the property.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fun, happy and fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating memorable, high-quality food and beverage experiences.

What your duties will look like

- Preparing/serving of coffee, food and drinks including taking orders





- Cafe cleaning duties including cleaning coffee machines and equipment

- Refilling drink fridges and snacks

- Maintaining service area to food safety standards

- Support of the team with proactive and fun attitude to work

What we are looking for

- Demonstrated experience within a fast-paced cafe, restaurant, bar or either hotel or retail food and beverage outlet (ie waiter, waitress, bar attendant, barista ect)

- High volume experience being able to work on multiple orders at once

- Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day-to-day operations

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to following procedures, especially when it comes to safety

- Exceptional presentation and grooming

- Flexible availability 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays
