Uniting Communities is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Maintenance Handyperson to join our Home and Community Care team in Port Augusta.
In this rewarding role, you'll provide home maintenance and gardening services that help older people and community members continue living safely, independently and comfortably in their own homes. If you enjoy practical, hands-on work and take pride in supporting others, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Handyperson, you'll work directly within the community, delivering a range of maintenance and gardening services to support our customers' wellbeing and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Gardening and general yard maintenance
- Window and gutter cleaning
- Minor carpentry and fencing repairs
- Removal of minor green waste
- Minor tree pruning and low-level garden tidy-ups
- Providing friendly, respectful and professional customer service
About You
You are reliable, self-motivated and enjoy helping people. You take pride in your work, have a strong safety focus, and enjoy working independently while making a positive impact in the community.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- A genuine passion for supporting and caring for people
- Working at Heights certification (or the ability to obtain)
- A current driver's licence
- Your own registered, insured and roadworthy vehicle
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous maintenance, gardening, handyman or trade experience is advantageous but not essential
