Casual Handyperson / Maintenance – The Portsea Camp

Are you a practical, hands-on person who knows how to fix things and enjoys variety in your work?

The Portsea Camp is looking for an experienced casual Handyperson to help keep our facilities safe, functional and looking their best.

This role is primarily focused on general repairs, maintenance and handywork across our buildings and facilities, with some occasional grounds maintenance as required. It would suit someone with hands-on maintenance or trade experience who is confident tackling a variety of jobs and enjoys getting things done.

What You'll Be Doing

- Carry out general repairs, maintenance and handywork across Camp buildings, facilities and equipment.

- Identify and attend to maintenance issues to keep our facilities safe, functional and well presented.

- Assist with basic construction, repair and improvement projects.

- Complete assigned maintenance tasks promptly and to a high standard.

- Undertake occasional grounds work such as lawn mowing, whipper snipping, planting, weeding and hedge pruning.

- Work safely and ensure repairs and maintenance meet relevant safety and quality requirements.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone practical, reliable and comfortable working independently across a broad range of maintenance tasks. Trade, building, maintenance or similar hands-on experience would be highly regarded.

You don't need to be an expert at everything – but you do need to be someone who can look at a job, work out what needs doing and confidently get stuck in.
