Qualifications & experience

Truck Drivers

- Motivated, individual who takes pride in the workplace and in the vehicles,

- Attention to detail,

- HR license (or higher) with minimum 2 years driving experience (manual license essential),

- Willing to undergo a license check and police history check,

- White/ Blue card,

- Ability to adapt to changing job site requirements,

- Sound understanding of WHS requirements,

- Punctuality & Reliability,

- Own reliable transport

Tasks & responsibilities

- Operate company trucks safely to transport materials, plant and equipment to and from civil construction sites.

- Complete daily pre-start inspections and report defects, damage or maintenance requirements immediately.

- Load, secure, transport and unload materials in accordance with load restraint and road transport requirements.

- Deliver and cart materials including gravel, road base, sand, spoil and other construction materials.

- Carry out site cartage and tipper work as directed by supervisors and site personnel.

- Safely operate around loaders, excavators, graders and other heavy plant.

- Complete delivery dockets, timesheets,



pre-starts and other required documentation accurately.

- Obtain signatures and record quantities, locations and job details where required.

- Maintain communication with supervisors regarding deliveries, site access, delays or changes to instructions.

- Keep trucks clean and tidy, including the cab, body, trays and associated equipment.

- Check fuel, oils, coolant, tyres, lights and general vehicle condition throughout the shift.

- Refuel and prepare trucks for the following shift where required.

- Comply with fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, load restraint and all applicable road transport requirements.

- Follow site-specific traffic management, safety and environmental requirements.

- Assist with loading/unloading and general site duties when reasonably required.

- Maintain safe separation from operating plant, workers, services and the public.

- Report incidents, near misses, hazards and vehicle damage immediately.

- Ensure loads are within legal mass and dimension limits and appropriately restrained or covered.

- Follow all Farrell’s Civil Contracting policies, procedures and reasonable directions.

- Perform other duties within the employee’s skills, competency and licence requirements as reasonably directed.
