About the role

FutureCap is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for our Queensland operations, based in Burleigh Heads. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in expanding our private credit mortgage business across the region. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth in the competitive private lending market. This role is instrumental in establishing FutureCap's presence in Queensland and delivering sustainable growth in our mortgage lending portfolio.

Key responsibilities

- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the private credit mortgage sector across Queensland

- Build and maintain strong relationships with mortgage brokers, financial advisers, accountants and other referral partners

- Present FutureCap's lending products and services to prospective clients and intermediaries

- Achieve and exceed agreed business development targets and revenue goals

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and market trends

- Collaborate with internal teams including underwriting and credit to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction

- Prepare and deliver compelling pitches, proposals and presentations to secure new business

- Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, client interactions and deal progress using CRM systems

- Attend industry events, conferences and networking functions to promote FutureCap's services

- Provide regular reporting on business development activities, market insights and pipeline forecasts to senior management

What we're looking for

- 3+ years of business development experience within financial services, banking or mortgage lending

- Proven track record of successfully generating recent business and meeting or exceeding sales targets

- Strong knowledge of the private credit and mortgage lending landscape in Australia





- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills

- Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and position relevant solutions

- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to pitch complex financial products

- Proficiency with CRM systems and other business development tools

- Sound understanding of credit assessment, lending criteria and mortgage products

- Self-motivated with strong time management and organisational abilities

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business or commerce preferred

- Valid Australian driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Queensland
