About the role

The Logistics and Operations Lead is responsible for leading the physical logistics, warehouse readiness and operational preparation of Social Exposure's events and activations. The role ensures equipment, consumables, vehicles, warehouse systems and physical event requirements are organised, tested and ready for deployment. It provides senior hands-on leadership across warehouse activity, major event preparation, complex bump-ins and pack-downs, while coordinating and overseeing the work performed by the Warehouse & Event Support role.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate the day-to-day physical operation of the Social Exposure warehouse, maintaining an organised, safe and efficient warehouse layout

- Establish and maintain clear storage, labelling and equipment-location systems

- Allocate agreed warehouse tasks to the Warehouse & Event Support role and check that delegated tasks have been completed accurately

- Review confirmed event information and identify physical logistics requirements; confirm equipment, transport, loading, storage, access and collection requirements

- Identify operational gaps or conflicting requirements before packing begins and liaise with event managers regarding incomplete or changing event information

- Prepare practical delivery, bump-in and pack-down plans for complex events

- Oversee the preparation and packing of equipment for events and conduct or oversee final equipment-readiness checks

- Coordinate routine test and tagging of event equipment as well as maintenance of all equipment

- Oversee the unpacking and checking of returned equipment and ensure missing, damaged, dirty or faulty items are recorded promptly and accurately

- Lead or participate in major, complex or higher-risk Melbourne event setups and pack-downs and interstate events where required





About you

- Experience in event logistics, warehouse operations, production or a similar practical environment

- Knowledge of basic equipment repairs and maintenance

- Solid understanding of event setup and pack-down requirements

- Ability to organise equipment, transport and competing priorities

- Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to lead hands-on operational activity

- Competence using computerised inventory systems

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Ability to safely lift and move event equipment
