APS HIRE is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Casual Driver to join our team, delivering and collecting Variable Message Signs (VMS) and traffic control equipment throughout Geelong and across Victoria.
About the role:
This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, travelling, and dealing with a variety of job sites. You will be responsible for:
• Delivering and picking up VMS boards, portable traffic lights and related traffic equipment
• Operating an MR truck safely and efficiently
• Completing basic equipment setup on site
• Communicating with the operations team to ensure smooth deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service when dealing with clients on location
What you need:
• Current MR truck licence (mandatory)
• Minimum of 1+ years MR truck driving experience required
• Positive communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of safety
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Basic mechanical or equipment knowledge is an advantage (not essential)
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional early starts or late finishes
• Australian work rights are essential for this position
