Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community.
Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately over 630 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated ICT Support Officer to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity (1.0 FTE), commencing Term 4, 2026. The ICT Support Officer provides responsive technical support and, under the direction of the ICT Manager, assists in maintaining reliable, secure and effective ICT infrastructure, systems, devices and digital services across the College. The role supports users, performs day-to-day ICT administration, and contributes to technology projects, service improvements, and the ongoing delivery of ICT services.

Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, and Microsoft server environments.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including user account management.
- A high level of troubleshooting ability in a school context with broad technical ability.
- Knowledge of maintaining switching and Wi-Fi networks.
- Ability to use device-management and deployment platforms to configure, update and maintain Windows and iOS devices.
- Ability to learn current systems quickly and be able to use them independently.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications at Certificate-level or higher and/or equivalent practical experience.
- Industry certifications in Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, cybersecurity or related fields are desirable but not essential.
Experience:
- Previous experience in an ICT support role; or
- Demonstrated ability to learn and perform effectively in an ICT support role
- Experience in an education setting is desirable but not essential
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Support the ICT Manager in the maintenance of all College ICT infrastructure and devices, software and internet services.
- Administer day-to-day helpdesk operations by recording, prioritising, resolving and escalating end-user support requests in accordance with applicable service level agreements.
- Liaise with vendors as required for hardware support and in line with support agreements.
- Proactively maintain documentation of all ICT topography, software, systems and processes.
- Where requested, obtain quotes for replacement hardware, software or any other ICT related products and services, including coordinating with contractors.
- Proactively monitor network switches and Wi-Fi for performance issues.
- Managing user account based on onboarding and offboarding requirements.
- Where requested, assist with the induction and training of staff in the use of ICT systems as required.
- Maintain and coordinate maintenance of all digital equipment, both proactive and reactive.
- Deploy software/applications to end user devices using appropriate platforms, including updates and patches.
- Monitor and manage A/V installations (Vivi, WiDi, AppleTV).
- Proactively maintain ICT assets, including maintaining registers of devices issued.
- Follow asset disposal procedures, seek approval for disposals.
- Use deployment technologies to maintain all College devices (Intune, SCCM and Jamf).
- School Bell System management.
- Assist with the monitoring and testing of backup and disaster recovery systems and processes.
- Report on activities as required and participate in team meetings.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of technologies used in schools.
- Coordinate small to medium ICT projects as required, under the direction of the ICT Manager.
- Promote a positive, service-oriented culture in relation to ICT support.
- Perform other duties as may be nominated by the Head of College, Business Manager and ICT Manager from time to time.
Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience in an ICT support role, providing timely and effective technical support for hardware, software, devices, user accounts, and ICT systems.
2. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across a broad range of ICT infrastructure, including end-user devices, software applications, networking, wireless connectivity, and audio-visual systems.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, contractors, and vendors, and explain technical information to non-technical users in a clear and professional manner.
4. Sound knowledge and experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and device management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, or Jamf.
