Matteo Downtown is a restaurant located in Sydney NSW 2000 that captures the flavour, energy and theatre of the high-paced city and is open for lunch, aperitivo, dinner, and drinks late into the night.

n Matteo Downtown is now looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to join their team.

The right candidate will be responsible for:

n

n
- Plan, develop and implement marketing and advertising campaigns to promote Matteo Downtown, increase restaurant bookings, strengthen brand awareness and support revenue objectives.
n
- Research Sydney CBD dining trends, competitor activity, customer preferences and market conditions to identify opportunities for restaurant dining, corporate functions, private events and group bookings.
n
- Develop marketing strategies for key venue offerings, including à la carte dining, seasonal menus, private dining, functions, weddings, bottomless brunches, express lunches and other promotional events.
n
- Advise management on marketing initiatives, target audiences, promotional offers, pricing strategies and positioning to effectively promote the restaurant and its dining and event experiences.

- Coordinate the production of advertising and promotional material, working with photographers, designers, copywriters, content creators and other external suppliers to ensure campaigns are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
n
- Create, schedule and publish engaging content across the restaurant's website, social media channels, email marketing platforms and other digital channels, maintaining consistency with Matteo's brand identity and positioning.

- Plan and execute targeted digital marketing campaigns designed to attract local diners, corporate customers, event organisers, tourists and other relevant customer segments.

- Analyse website traffic, social media engagement, digital advertising results, booking trends and campaign performance to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve marketing outcomes.
n
- Monitor the performance of promotions, events and marketing initiatives, preparing regular reports and providing recommendations to management regarding campaign effectiveness, customer engagement and areas for improvement.

- Support business growth by developing marketing programs and promotional initiatives aimed at increasing restaurant reservations, function enquiries, private dining bookings and repeat customer engagement.

- Review and recommend improvements to website and digital content, including promotional pages, event information and search-optimised content, to improve online visibility, search engine performance and customer conversion.

iaise with restaurant management and operational teams to coordinate marketing activities with upcoming menus, events, seasonal campaigns and venue promotions, ensuring advertised offerings are accurately communicated and effectively delivered.

About you:

n

- At least 1 year of experience as a Marketing Specialist;
n
- Strong digital marketing and content creation skills across social media, websites, email campaigns and online advertising platforms;
n
- Ability to analyse customer trends, campaign performance and digital marketing data to identify opportunities and improve marketing outcomes;
n
- Strong communication and creative skills, with the ability to develop effective promotional messaging and maintain consistent brand positioning;
n
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, events and marketing activities within deadlines and budgets.

n Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
