The District Council of Tumby Bay is seeking an experienced and progressive General Manager Corporate Services to join its Executive Leadership Team.

n

The Role

n

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this key leadership role will provide strategic oversight across Council's corporate and financial services and help shape a sustainable, efficient and future-focused organisation.

n

You will lead a diverse corporate services portfolio including:

n

n
- Financial management, budgeting and long-term financial planning
n
- People, culture and workforce management
n
- Governance, compliance and risk
n
- Customer service and corporate administration
n
- IT, business systems and digital transformation
n
- Procurement, contracts and insurance
n
- Work health and safety
n
- Corporate planning and continuous improvement
n

n

As part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic advice to the CEO, contribute to organisation-wide decision-making and lead improvements to systems, processes and service delivery.

n

About You

We are looking for a capable senior leader with strong corporate and financial management skills and a commitment to building organisational capability.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Senior leadership experience in corporate services, finance, local government, the public sector or a comparable environment
n
- Strong financial management, budgeting and long-term planning capability
n
- Experience leading teams, managing change and improving organisational performance
n
- Sound knowledge of governance, risk, workforce management and corporate systems
n
- Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills
n
- The ability to provide practical and strategic advice in a complex workplace
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded. Local government experience is advantageous; however, candidates with strong transferable executive leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
