About the role
As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will help drive financial success by ensuring effective credit management and timely collections. The role is responsible for coordinating credit approvals, supporting customers and business partners with account enquiries, and maintaining accurate debtor accounts through reconciliations and account adjustments, helping to keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
How you'll make an impact
- Manage collections and following up overdue customer payments in line with credit terms.
- Monitor and maintain customer credit limits based on financial viability and payment performance.
- Escalate defaulting accounts through collection agencies or legal action and update credit reporting records.
- Provide regular receivables and problem account status updates to stakeholders.
- Process daily bank receipts and foreign currency deposits accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly accounts receivable and debtor reconciliations, including SAP, dealer, finance company, and customer accounts.
- Create dealer invoices in SAP, process journals, release pending orders, handle dealer queries, and support other finance-related activities.
What you'll bring to Honda
- Tertiary qualifications in a finance or related field
- Proficient in accounting systems (SAP Fiori ideally) and Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and payment process.
- Strong collections, account reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
