About the role As a result of growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate/Senior Associate to join our high performing, friendly and innovative Private Clients team.
Our firm has one of the most highly regarded Private Client practices in Sydney. Led by Lisa To, an award-winning taxation lawyer, the team provides strategic advice across taxation, superannuation, trusts, business succession, estate planning, estate administration and tax controversies.
Working alongside the broader team, you will gain exposure to technically challenging matters while building trusted adviser relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Our ideal candidate will possess:
- 4-8 years' PQE gained in a reputable law or accounting firm.
- Experience in taxation, trusts, superannuation, estate planning, succession planning, private client advisory, or related commercial matters.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent drafting, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to delivering client outcomes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to outstanding client service.
- Completed, undertaking, or willing to undertake further tax studies.
This position offers: This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters including:
- Federal and state taxation advice.
- Tax disputes, audits, reviews,
objections and negotiations with the ATO and Revenue NSW.
- Trust, company and asset protection structures.
- Estate planning, succession planning and intergenerational wealth transfers.
- Business succession and family business advisory work.
- Superannuation and self-managed superannuation fund matters.
- Revenue, duty, payroll tax and GST matters.
- Complex private client and family wealth structuring projects.
You will have the opportunity to manage matters with increasing autonomy while continuing to receive hands-on mentoring from experienced partners and senior practitioners.
