Help shape the future of professional membership across healthcare An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office. This is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with Fellowship Affairs and key stakeholders across the organisation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of new membership models and enhancing the value we provide to our professional community.
This is a highly collaborative role that combines stakeholder engagement, business analysis, data insights and project delivery. You will work with business leaders, medical specialists, membership teams and project stakeholders to analyse opportunities, develop recommendations and support the design of innovative membership programs and services.
About us The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and Current Zealand.
The college's purpose is to serve our communities by leading high-quality patient care in anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine, optimising health and reducing the burden of pain.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will support the delivery of strategic membership initiatives, including the development of an Associate Membership model.
Key responsibilities include
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand needs, priorities and opportunities
- Facilitating workshops, interviews, focus groups and consultation activities
- Gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements
- Conducting membership, engagement, operational and financial analysis
- Developing member segmentation, market insights and business recommendations
- Mapping and improving membership processes and service experiences
- Supporting business case development, scenario modelling and feasibility analysis
- Preparing reports, dashboards,
presentations and governance papers
- Coordinating project documentation, stakeholder communications and implementation activities
- Working collaboratively across membership, finance, education, technology and project teams
About You
You are a curious and commercially minded analyst who enjoys solving complex problems and building trusted relationships with stakeholders.
You will bring
- Qualifications in business analysis, analytics, finance, economics, business, information systems, statistics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a business analysis, stakeholder engagement, membership, consulting or project environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience gathering requirements and translating insights into practical recommendations
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working with data and preparing reports for a range of audiences
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- A proactive, collaborative and service-oriented approach
Desirable Experience
- Membership-based organisations, professional associations or not-for-profit environments
- Healthcare, medical colleges or professional education sectors
- CRM or membership management systems such as iMIS
- Membership program design and service improvement
- Reporting, dashboards and data-driven decision making
- Governance and committee-based environments
