- High-quality in-house training and ongoing professional development

- Modern, paperless systems and technology

- Genuine career progression opportunities

- Competitive remuneration based on experience

- Flexible working arrangements where appropriate

About the Role

As our Legal Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our clients while providing comprehensive administrative support to our solicitors. This is a varied role that combines reception,

client service, and legal administration.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing solicitors' schedules, appointments, diaries, and court deadlines

- Drafting, formatting, and preparing legal correspondence and documents

- Assisting with file management and maintaining accurate records

- Conducting basic legal and administrative research

- Providing exceptional client service and maintaining regular client communication

- Assisting with billing, invoicing, and other administrative tasks

- Maintaining strict confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism

About You

The ideal candidate will:

- Have at least 2 years' experience in administration, with legal admin, legal receptionist, or law clerk experience highly regarded

- Be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

- Thrive in a rapid-paced environment and be able to manage competing priorities

- Be proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused

- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Be confident using Microsoft Office and learning new practice management software

- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion,

and a strong commitment to client service

- Be a quick learner who can retain information and work independently while contributing positively to the team

Previous experience in a legal practice is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn.

Our Coffs Harbour office is small but with big plans to grow over time. An exceptional administrator is a key part of that process, and the right candidate will be willing to hit the ground running and support those plans however they can.
