Play a key role in advancing infection prevention and control practices across SWSLHD. In this influential leadership position, you will drive clinical excellence, support safer patient outcomes, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through evidence-based practice and collaborative partnerships.

- Lead and influence contemporary infection prevention and control practices across a large and diverse health service.
- Provide expert clinical advice, guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers.
- Champion quality improvement, research and innovation to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
- Develop and deliver specialist education programs that build capability and strengthen workforce excellence.
- Contribute to strategic service planning that shapes the future of infection prevention across the District.

Are You the Right Fit? You are a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional with a passion for infection prevention, clinical leadership and improving patient outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring the expertise, critical thinking and communication skills needed to support safe, high-quality care.

- Extensive experience in delivering expert clinical advice and leading evidence-based practice within a complex healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention and control, including the application of evidence-based practice.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to drive quality improvement initiatives, manage risk and support safe clinical practice.




- Commitment to professional development, education, research and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
- Describe a time when you led or contributed to an infection prevention and control initiative that improved patient safety or clinical outcomes. What was your role, what actions did you take, and what was the outcome?
- This role requires collaboration with a range of stakeholders to influence practice and implement evidence-based infection prevention strategies. Provide an example of how you successfully engaged and influenced clinical staff or multidisciplinary teams to achieve a quality improvement outcome. What challenges did you encounter and how did you address them?
