We’re looking for an Education &
- Practice Mentor to join our team and work alongside our services to strengthen educational practice, build educator capability and support teams to create meaningful learning experiences for children.
This is a role for someone who loves early childhood education, people and practice — someone who can walk into a service, build genuine relationships, notice what is happening, ask the right questions and work alongside educators to support positive change.
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
- Has a strong understanding of early childhood education and contemporary pedagogical practice.
- Has experience working as an Educational Leader and is looking for a growth opportunity.
- Is passionate about supporting educators to grow and develop.
- Can build trust and relationships with people at all levels.
- Is confident having honest, respectful conversations about practice.
- Can coach rather than simply tell.
- Is reflective, curious and open to different perspectives.
- Can turn theory into practical strategies that educators can actually use.
- Is organised, adaptable and comfortable working across multiple services.
- Has a genuine commitment to children’s rights, voice, agency and wellbeing.
- Brings energy, warmth and a sense of fun to their work.
This role is for you if… You get excited when an educator has that “aha!” moment. You enjoy being in services, sitting alongside educators and figuring things out together.
You believe professional learning should change practice — not just tick a box.
You can see the strengths in people while still being willing to challenge thinking and ask, “What could we do differently?”
And most importantly, you believe that supporting educators to grow ultimately means better experiences and outcomes for children.
What You’ll Need
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education &
- Care
- Minimum 5 years experience in a current Educational Leader/Mentor role
- Proven knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, Childhood Development and Play-based Child-drive Pedagogy
- Current Working with Children Check
- Mandatory National Child Safety Training
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to communicate with clear vision.
- Experience with supporting, mentoring & collaborating with a diverse team
- First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
