Your new role

Join the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Falls Co-Response Program as a Senior Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, working alongside paramedics to provide rapid assessment and intervention for people who have fallen in the community.

- Deliver senior Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy assessment, intervention and clinical decision-making within a highly collaborative Falls Co-Response team.
- Work alongside a paramedic in a specialised dual-response model, supporting timely care and referral to community services and, where appropriate, preventing avoidable hospital transfers.
- Work across a 7-day roster with 10-hour shifts, currently 6:00am–4:00pm, 7:00am–5:00pm and 8:00am–6:00pm, with additional 11:00am–9:00pm shifts planned.
- Contribute to clinical education, supervision, quality improvement and the ongoing development of evidence-based Falls Co-Response services.

About You We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who can confidently apply their clinical expertise in a fast-paced, complex community environment.

- You have high-level knowledge, skills and experience delivering Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy services, ideally within complex clinical environments.
- You can rapidly assess, prioritise, manage and discharge patients while exercising sound independent clinical judgement.




- You communicate effectively and work collaboratively with paramedics, allied health professionals, patients, carers and external agencies.
- You can provide clinical leadership, supervision and education to less experienced practitioners and students and contribute to service improvement.

About Us The Falls Co-Response Program provides services via enhanced cooperation,



collaboration and understanding between Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service. The service aims to provide an accelerated comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment as the primary response to Triple Zero calls related to fall which have been received by QAS. The two-member crew partners and occupational therapist or physiotherapist with a paramedic to provide rapid community assessment, intervention and where appropriate, prevent avoidable hospital transfers with timely referral to community-based services.
