About The Role

Based in Sydney, the General Manager GP Engagement will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies that position Myhealth as the preferred destination for GPs and practice partners across Australia. You will work closely with senior leaders across Operations, Clinical Governance, Finance, Recruitment, and Medical Education to drive workforce outcomes, strengthen Myhealth’s Doctor Value Proposition, and support continued network growth.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring a strong pipeline of General Practitioners, Registrars, and future clinical leaders while driving growth through greenfield developments, mergers, and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Workforce Growth

- Lead initiatives that support sustainable clinical workforce planning and future business growth.
- Provide expert advice on GP workforce trends, market opportunities, and emerging risks.

GP Attraction & Engagement





- Build and maintain strong pipelines of GPs, Registrars, and future clinical leaders.
- Develop innovative recruitment and retention initiatives that enhance practitioner satisfaction and loyalty.

Growth, Acquisitions & Market Development

- Lead the attraction and development of new clinic opportunities, including greenfield sites and acquisitions.
- Support clinic mergers and acquisition activities from opportunity identification through to completion.

Stakeholder & Clinical Leadership

- Partner with executive stakeholders to deliver workforce and growth objectives.
- Participate in clinical governance activities and support clinical excellence initiatives.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

- Monitor and improve key recruitment, engagement, retention, and workforce metrics.
- Analyse workforce data and provide strategic insights to executive leadership.

About You

You are a commercially minded healthcare leader who combines strategic thinking with strong relationship-building capability.

Essential Experience & Skills

- Significant experience in healthcare leadership, workforce strategy, practitioner engagement, or recruitment.
- Proven success attracting, engaging, and retaining healthcare professionals, particularly within General Practice.
- Experience developing and executing workforce growth and retention strategies.
- Robust understanding of healthcare service delivery and primary care environments.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management expertise.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to align workforce initiatives with business goals.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Willingness to travel and engage with stakeholders nationally
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Business, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Medicine, Business,



or a related field are advantageous.

Desirable Experience

- Experience within General Practice, primary healthcare, or multi-site healthcare organisations. Knowledge of GP workforce trends, Registrar pathways, and medical education.
- Experience building partnerships with universities, training organisations, or industry groups.
- Understanding of Medicare, healthcare funding models, and GP contracting arrangements.
