COOK (Full Time- 38 hours per week ) Moor Newcastle East

requires a Full time Cook located in Newcastle NSW 2300 with a minimum qualification of Certificate III /IV in Commercial cookery and three years of work experience in a similar role. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding and knowledge of food and ingredients. You will report directly to the Manager and/or Director of the business however, you will also display strong teamwork skills in the kitchen operation environment.

Duties and responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking by chopping and peeling vegetables & fruits, cutting meat, grinding spices,
n
- Prepare and cook food dishes for all types as per menu items
n
- Examining food to ensure it meets the quality standard
n
- Seasoning food and ingredients
n




- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
n
- Portioning food, placing it on the plates, adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
n
- Participating in planning menus and estimating food requirements
n
- Assist head chef and train other kitchen staff
n

The applicant must have

n

- AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
n
- Minimum There years of recent Experience as a cook in commercial kitchen
n
- Ability to work independently and fast processed environment
n

n

Annual Salary: 79,534 plus super

n
