About the role
The City of Salisbury is seeking a confident and capable Organisational Development Advisor to join the People and Performance Team within Corporate Development on a part-time (0.6 FTE), 12-month contract.
Reporting to the Divisional Head People and Performance, you will play a key role in delivering initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, organisational culture and workforce performance.
Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you will help design, implement and evaluate Organisational Development programs, support change initiatives and provide practical advice that helps build capability and improve organisational effectiveness.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with delivery and has the confidence to engage, influence and facilitate at all levels of an organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
In collaboration with the Divisional Head People & Performance
- Design, coordinate and evaluate Organisational Change and Learning and Development initiatives.
- Facilitate staff and leadership workshops and capability-building activities.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys and action planning.
- Develop and implement change management approaches for organisational projects.
- Analyse workforce data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Monitor and report on organisational development outcomes and metrics.
- Contribute to wellbeing, culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.
About you:
You are an experienced Organisational Development or HR Professional who can confidently engage with leaders and employees from across the organisation, facilitate meaningful conversations and operationalise strategies to achieve practical outcomes.
You bring strong communication and influencing skills, a proactive approach and the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organisation.
You will also have:
- Experience delivering Organisational Development, Learning and Development or Workforce Strategy initiatives.
- Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions or leadership programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Experience supporting organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound judgement, initiative and a team-oriented approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Management or a related discipline.
- Experience within Local Government (desirable).
- Change Management and/or Project Management experience (desirable).
