Take on a rewarding Paediatrics locum at Hawkesbury Hospital, part of Nepean Blue Mountains LHD.

This is a strong opportunity for experienced SRMOs, Registrars or CMOs to gain valuable paediatric and neonatal exposure in a supportive, well-equipped regional hospital just outside Sydney.

The role offers flexibility, senior support and the chance to strengthen paediatric, neonatal and acute care experience in a hospital known for teamwork and approachable clinical supervision.

Clinical Environment

You will work across paediatric services within a supportive hospital environment, with exposure to inpatient care, special care nursery and emergency presentations.

- Diverse paediatric exposure – support inpatient, SCN and emergency presentations
- Hands-on experience – attend deliveries and assist with neonatal resus and acute paediatric care within scope
- Career development – build experience for Paediatrics, Neonatal or Emergency Medicine training pathways
- Senior support – work within a consultant-led service with supervision and structured teaching
- Flexible locum options – choose ad-hoc shifts or block work around your availability

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad paediatric and neonatal patient mix, including infants, children, adolescents, neonatal presentations, SCN patients, emergency paediatric cases and families requiring assessment, reassurance, escalation or ongoing care.

Key Duties

- Review and manage paediatric patients within scope
- Support inpatient, SCN and emergency paediatric care
- Attend deliveries and assist with neonatal care where appropriate




- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing, midwifery and hospital teams

Requirements

- AHPRA General Registration
- PGY4+ with previous Paediatrics or Neonatal experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding
