We are seeking experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons to provide high-quality surgical services within Southern NSW hospitals.

These roles suit Consultant, Specialist or VMO-level Orthopaedic Surgeons looking for meaningful surgical work, competitive daily rates and the chance to combine locum practice with the relaxed lifestyle of regional NSW.

You will support orthopaedic services across regional hospital settings, managing a varied surgical caseload while working alongside experienced surgical, anaesthetic and perioperative teams.

Clinical Environment

You will work across Southern NSW hospital settings, with opportunities available in regional referral hospitals and smaller surgical units.

- Regional surgical exposure – work across referral hospitals and smaller surgical units
- Varied case mix – manage trauma, elective orthopaedics and complex surgical presentations
- Strong theatre support – collaborate with experienced surgical, anaesthetic and perioperative teams
- Clinical leadership – support safe surgical decision-making and escalation where required
- Teaching opportunities – mentor junior doctors and contribute to team development

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad orthopaedic patient mix, including trauma presentations, elective orthopaedic patients, acute surgical referrals, older patients, post-operative patients and those requiring assessment, operative planning, escalation or ongoing surgical care.

Key Duties

- Provide consultant-level orthopaedic surgical cover
- Review and manage orthopaedic presentations within scope
- Support trauma, elective and complex surgical care
- Participate in theatre, ward reviews and clinical decision-making
- Work collaboratively with surgical,



anaesthetic, perioperative and hospital teams
- Complete clinical documentation, handover and management plans

Requirements

- FRACS in Orthopaedics
- AHPRA Specialist Registration
- Consultant, Specialist or VMO-level experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Ability to complete hospital credentialing
