An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Dental Assistant to join a brand-new dental practice in Norwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a new clinic from the beginning and play an important role in establishing smooth clinical systems and workflows. The practice will have three up-to-date treatment rooms and provide a broad range of general dentistry.

You will be the only Dental Assistant within the practice initially, so we are looking for someone highly experienced, confident and autonomous who is comfortable taking ownership of the clinical environment and working independently.

The Role

- Permanent position working 4 days per week
- Brand-new, modern 3-chair dental practice
- Sole Dental Assistant within the practice initially
- Supporting the Dentist across a broad range of general dentistry
- Chairside assisting and surgery preparation
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Instrument preparation and maintenance
- Stock management and ordering
- Helping establish productive clinical systems and workflows
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day clinical setup and ensuring everything runs smoothly





To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

- At least 5 years' Dental Assistant experience
- Robust experience across general dentistry
- The confidence to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- The ability to take initiative and manage the clinical side of the practice independently
- Excellent infection control and sterilisation knowledge
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills

All-on-X and surgical experience would be a strong bonus, although not essential.
This role would suit an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys responsibility, is confident working independently and would love the prospect to help shape a brand-new practice from the ground up.
