Our client — a large, well-established organisation delivering essential services to millions of people across NSW — is smack in the middle of a major infrastructure and workforce transformation program, and they need a Dayforce Configuration Consultant to come in-house and own the platform.
They're talking deep, sustained technical ownership — scheduling, rostering, time & attendance, pay rules — across a large, complex, blue-collar workforce covered by multiple EBAs and EAs. No client-hopping, no re-explaining yourself every quarter — just one platform, one workforce, and the runway to really get under the hood.
Perks:
- $180,000–$200,000 + Super — a genuinely senior, in-house technical package rarely offered outside consulting.
- Work on a major infrastructure and workforce transformation program.
- Move out of the consulting treadmill into deep, sustained ownership of one platform and one workforce.
- Hybrid working from Sydney Paramatta - 2 days WFH (However if interstate remote will be considered)
The Role:
- Own end-to-end Dayforce configuration across scheduling, rostering, time and attendance, and pay rule engines.
- Translate the requirements of multiple Enterprise Agreements and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements into accurate, compliant system configuration.
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and operational leaders to design, build, test and deploy configuration changes with minimal disruption to a 24/7 blue-collar workforce.
- Lead root-cause analysis and remediation of configuration issues, escalated pay discrepancies and system defects.
- Manage configuration through Dayforce upgrades and releases, ensuring EBA/EA rules remain correctly reflected.
- Document configuration standards, workbooks and business rules for audit and knowledge continuity.
- Mentor internal team members and act as the go-to technical authority on Dayforce within the business.
- Support integration touchpoints between Dayforce and downstream finance/payroll/GL systems.
About You:
- Proven hands-on Dayforce configuration experience — ideally including scheduling, rostering, time & attendance and pay policy setup.
- Experience configuring systems against multiple complex industrial instruments (EBAs/EAs) in a blue-collar, unionised or shift-based environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable translating technical configuration into plain-English impacts for operational and payroll leaders.
- Background in a large blue-collar, shift-based or unionised employer highly regarded.
- Dayforce certification(s) in WFM, Payroll or HCM modules a strong advantage.
- Experience managing configuration through platform upgrades/releases.
