What You'll Be Doing As a Mental Health Clinician – Nursing, you’ll provide comprehensive, recovery-oriented care to consumers experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness and complex psychosocial needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll combine clinical expertise with a strong focus on collaboration, advocacy and consumer empowerment.

- Undertake mental health triage,



comprehensive assessments and ongoing clinical care
- Develop collaborative care plans with consumers, carers and other service providers
- Coordinate care, interventions and discharge planning across health, government and community services
- Deliver evidence-based psychological and family interventions within your scope of practice
- Contribute to clinical reviews, quality improvement, service development, education and health promotion initiatives

Essential Requirements

Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse

Registration: Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.




- Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
- Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.
- Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
