Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is a busy regional referral facility providing acute and specialist healthcare services to Tamworth and the broader New England and Northwest communities.

The New Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program will provide you with the opportunity to gain broad clinical experience across medical, surgical and rehabilitation settings while being supported by experienced nursing and multidisciplinary teams, and becoming part of a close and supportive healthcare community.

About The Role

As a New Graduate Enrolled Nurse, you will have the opportunity to consolidate your nursing knowledge and develop your clinical skills through planned rotations across a variety of inpatient environments.

You will work alongside Registered Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, Nurse Unit Managers, medical officers, allied health professionals and clinical educators who are committed to supporting you as you develop into a confident and capable Enrolled Nurse.

You Will

- Contribute to the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of individualised nursing care.
- Provide clinical care within your approved scope of practice.
- Administer medications in accordance with your endorsement and NSW Health policies and procedures.
- Recognise and escalate changes in a patient's condition and other safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Support admission, transfer, rehabilitation and discharge processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical handover, education, evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.

Your ward-specific knowledge, advanced clinical skills, familiarity with local systems and confidence managing competing priorities will develop throughout the program.

Essential Requirements

- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse, or eligibility to obtain registration prior to commencement.
