Quality Officer permanent full time

As part of our national Quality team, this is an opportunity to directly support Genomic Diagnostics, Healius' specialist genomics brand, while contributing to quality initiatives across the broader pathology network.

This full-time role offers flexibility through variable work schedules, limited travel requirements and the ability to work remotely once fully onboarded. You will need to be located within a reasonable distance of our north-east Melbourne office for onboarding and regular onsite requirements.

About The Role

As a Quality Officer, you will support the maintenance and continual improvement of quality systems and accreditation requirements primarily across Genomic Diagnostics while also contributing to broader quality initiatives within the Healius Pathology network. Working closely with the Quality Manager, you will support the ongoing maintenance of accreditation, quality management systems and compliance requirements across the business.

Key responsibilities

- Assess and contribute to risk management processes




- Review quality documentation to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and best practice standards
- Maintain quality records in accordance with Quality Policy requirements, including controlled document review and updates
- Review incidents and support escalation processes in line with relevant policies
- Maintain quality management system (QMS) software records, including assets, audits and referral laboratory processes
- Collaborate with commercial and operational stakeholders as required
- Prepare reporting and provide insights to the Quality Manager and senior leaders
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across pathology operations
- Assist with monitoring training and competency assessment requirements
- Contribute to quality improvement projects and the tracking of quality performance indicators

About You Our ideal candidate will bring previous experience in quality, compliance or accreditation within a regulated environment. To be successful in this role, you will be detail-oriented, highly organised and able to interpret and apply quality requirements with confidence, while building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in quality, compliance, laboratory, scientific or related disciplines
- Experience working within a medical laboratory quality environment, with knowledge of ISO 15189 standards highly desirable.
- Sound understanding of quality systems, accreditation requirements and regulatory frameworks
