Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Auburn, NSW for a Radio Communications Installer / Allrounder. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining two-way radio and in-building communication systems, including cabling, antenna systems, and related hardware. The position includes performing site surveys, documenting installation work, troubleshooting equipment and network issues, and supporting upgrades or modifications to existing systems.
The installer/allrounder will collaborate with engineers and project managers, follow safety and quality procedures, and provide basic user guidance on system operation as required.
Qualifications
- Practical skills in installing, mounting, and wiring radio communication equipment, antennas, and associated hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications.
- Experience with basic RF concepts, two-way radio systems, and in-building coverage solutions (training can be provided for suitable candidates).
- Competence in using hand and power tools safely and effectively, with adherence to WHS/OHS standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment or connectivity issues on-site.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with engineers, project managers, and clients.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites within the region.
- Relevant trade qualification, electronics, communications, or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
