About us: The Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) is responsible for delivering mental health, alcohol and other drugs services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) and for supporting other mental health, alcohol and other drugs services in the surrounding Hospital and Health Services of Cape York, Torres Strait Northern Peninsula Area. Its primary objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.

About your role:
In this position you will..... * Ensure staff are appropriately skilled and supported to deliver services by actively identifying, facilitating and providing career development opportunities for self and others, managing regular supervision and performance appraisal processes for staff.



* Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to consumer safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives. * Integrate and operationalise key objectives and strategies for a work-based culture that promotes and supports education, learning, research and workforce development.
