About the Role

Skillforce Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Traffic Management Supervisor for a temp-to-perm opportunity with one of our established civil construction clients.

Initially employed through Skillforce Recruitment, this role offers a genuine pathway to permanent employment with the client for the right person.

This position will see you take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of traffic management operations across multiple projects. You will be responsible for ensuring crews, vehicles and equipment are allocated effectively, Traffic Management Plans are implemented correctly and all works remain compliant with relevant Main Roads WA requirements.

The role is both operational and hands-on, requiring someone who is comfortable leading crews on site while also managing scheduling, documentation, compliance and communication with project teams.

Your duties will include:

- Supervising and coordinating Traffic Controllers and traffic management personnel
- Allocating staff, vehicles and equipment across projects
- Leading toolbox meetings and daily pre-starts
- Overseeing the implementation of Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes
- Conducting site inspections and identifying any compliance or operational issues
- Reviewing and documenting changes to traffic management arrangements where required
- Providing coaching, mentoring and on-the-job support to team members
- Managing staffing requirements and assisting with workforce planning




- Liaising with project personnel regarding upcoming works and resource requirements
- Assisting with hands-on traffic management duties when required

About You:

We are looking for someone with strong practical traffic management experience who is confident leading crews and making decisions in a fast-moving project environment.

To be considered, you will require:

- Minimum 3 years’ traffic management industry experience
- Previous supervisory, team leader or senior traffic management experience
- Current Traffic Controller (TC) accreditation
- Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) accreditation
- Current WTM or AWTM Main Roads accreditation
- White Card
- Current WA Driver’s Licence
- Strong understanding of Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes
- Good knowledge of the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management and WA Code of Practice
- Solid communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple crews and changing operational requirements
- Confident problem-solving and decision-making skills

Current First Aid certification will also be highly regarded.
