What You'll Be Doing
Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD)
has recently calculated its baseline carbon footprint and is committed to reducing emissions to reach net zero by 2035 for the emissions we control directly, with a 70-80% reduction by 2030.
The Data Manager, Planetary Health is responsible for coordinating the ongoing collection and analysis of planetary health data and information, including supporting the development and maintenance of a carbon emissions dashboard, to monitor and track progress of NSLHD’s pathway to net zero.
The role will build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to collect and synthesise a range of data across scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions sources and evaluate the environmental, health, and financial impact of sustainability projects.
Working within a small planetary health team with a diversity of skills, the successful candidate will use their understanding of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and carbon accounting to support research and develop current ways to calculate and track NSLHD’s carbon footprint and emissions reduction over time.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Relevant qualifications and appropriate experience in data analytics or business intelligence, sustainability, research and evaluation, project management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in the collection and analysis of data using analytics tools such as Power BI. Experience developing automated technical solutions will be highly regarded.
