Our client is a well-established and highly regarded FMCG organisation currently seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with sales and operational stakeholders, providing commercial insights that influence business performance and strategic decision-making.
Your new role
- Act as the primary finance contact for Sales stakeholders, providing day-to-day commercial finance support.
- Lead monthly performance reviews, analysing revenue, margins, product mix and trade investment performance.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Present financial information to non-finance stakeholders in a transparent and meaningful way.
- Complete month-end activities including accruals, reporting and variance analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes through financial modelling and performance analysis.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, explaining key variances and business drivers.
- Ensure customer investment agreements are accurately maintained within SAP and comply with governance requirements.
- Partner with Sales teams to resolve customer claims, rebates and trading term issues.
- Maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity.
- Drive process improvement initiatives,
automation opportunities and reporting enhancements.
- Support system implementations and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the finance function.
What you'll need to succeed
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently studying towards completion).
- 3-5 years' experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A; or Finance Business Partnering.
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with Sales or operational teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Experience using SAP and financial planning/reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
- A continuous improvement mindset with exposure to process optimisation, automation or systems enhancement initiatives.
- FMCG experience will be highly regarded.
