Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services - Melbourne - 110 to 90k

Join a highly regarded Building Services Consultancy delivering some of Melbourne’s most significant commercial and technically complex projects.

We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join an established and growing Building Services team in Melbourne.

This is an excellent chance for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work on high-profile commercial projects, develop technically, and work alongside experienced engineers across a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

The Opportunity You will be involved in the electrical design and delivery of a diverse range of building projects, working closely with architects, clients, builders and other engineering disciplines.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Electrical design and documentation across commercial building projects
- Preparation of electrical layouts, schematics and design documentation
- Lighting, power, communications and essential services design
- Electrical load calculations and equipment selection
- Design coordination with structural, mechanical, hydraulic and architectural teams
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction
- Liaising with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
- Contributing to design reviews, site inspections and technical reporting
- Working within Australian Standards, NCC requirements and relevant industry guidelines

What We're Looking For We are interested in speaking with Electrical Engineers who have:

- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience within Building Services / Consulting Engineering




- Strong understanding of electrical building services design
- Experience with lighting, power and electrical distribution systems
- Ability to produce and review high-quality engineering documentation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is highly regarded
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery

Engineers with approximately 3–7 years' experience are encouraged to apply, although candidates outside this range with the right building services experience will also be considered.
