Austcorp Executive are partnering with a leading company specialising in the design and manufacture of customized heavy transport equipment serving the mining, agricultural, construction and general freight industries.
Our client is currently looking to recruit a Engineering Manager who will be responsible for leading the engineering department and will be the key interface between the customer, manufacturing, engineering and management – providing product and service solutions to their operational needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Being the lead interface between customers and the engineering and production departments.
- Manage a team of engineering and drafters for the design and development of custom heavy transport equipment.
- Evaluate customer requirements, understand pain points and present product solutions.
- Having a deep technical knowledge of heavy transport or similar equipment (Trailers, Trucks etc)
- Build genuine relationships from trust and track record of delivery.
- Turn technical product enquiries into commercial results.
Skills & Qualifications you will possess:
- Mechanical Engineering or trade background – or equivalent industry knowledge.
- A deep understanding of the engineering and manufacturing processes involved in the production of heavy transport or similar equipment (Trailers, Trucks, Etc.)
- Experience in a Senior Design or Engineering Manager position (Highly Regarded)
- Experience in Technical or Customer Facing Roles in the Heavy Transport industries in Australia
