Your new role
As a Fitter & Turner, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing and reassembling hydraulic cylinders and associated components. The role will also involve machining duties, reading technical drawings, fault finding, quality control, operating workshop machinery and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Working as part of an experienced team, you will play a key role in ensuring all repairs and manufacturing tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner
- Extensive machining experience
- Hydraulic cylinder repair and overhaul experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capabilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience within mining, heavy engineering or heavy industry
- Experience operating workshop machinery
- Lifting equipment experience
- Forklift licence highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
