Foundation Labour Hire is seeking experienced All Round Plant Operators to join a major Australian Defence project, delivering bulk earthworks, civil construction and infrastructure activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators with strong multi-machine capability who are looking for consistent hours, long-term work and the opportunity to work on a major Defence project.

DEFENCE SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

As this is an Australian Defence project, security clearance requirements apply. Australian Citizens with a clean criminal history will be highly regarded. Visa holders may also be considered where they are eligible to obtain the required security clearance.

Candidates must be able to satisfy all relevant Defence security, screening and site access requirements before commencing work.

THE ROLE

Working as part of an experienced civil and earthworks crew, you will operate a range of heavy mobile plant across bulk earthworks,



civil construction and Defence infrastructure activities.Operators with solid all-round capability are highly sought after, with the ability to move between machines depending on project requirements.

Plant may include:

- Excavators - various sizes
- Dozers
- Graders
- Front-end loaders
- Articulated dump trucks
- Water carts
- Rollers and compactors
- Other heavy mobile plant as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely and efficiently operate heavy mobile plant
- Execute bulk cut and fill operations
- Perform excavation, loading and material movement
- Construct and maintain haul roads
- Road formation, spreading, trimming and levelling
- Batter and bench construction
- General civil, earthworks and Defence infrastructure activities
- Complete pre-starts, inspections and basic operator maintenance
- Identify and report mechanical, safety and environmental issues
- Work to production targets, project specifications and schedules
- Follow Defence, site safety, environmental and operational procedures
- Maintain safe and productive work areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, surveyors and other operators
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing earthworks crew
