The Role
This position supports the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant, working closely with the Business Manager to ensure production, safety, quality and operational targets are achieved.
You will play a key role in overseeing production activities, managing staff, maintaining compliance standards and supporting site performance. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can balance operational oversight with team management and reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Business Manager in overseeing daily plant operations
- Plan and schedule production to meet budget and output targets
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
- Lead, supervise and develop production staff on site
- Monitor plant performance across production, cost and quality metrics
- Manage stock levels and coordinate purchasing of consumables and materials
- Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks and incident investigations
- Assist with month-end reporting and administrative processes
- Maintain contractor management and site compliance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement across operations and team performance
You Will Have
- Experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams in an operational environment
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Administrative and reporting experience, including payroll exposure
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of budgets and cost control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical or technical understanding (highly regarded)
- Background in timber, industrial or similar manufacturing environments (advantageous)
