Our client, GR8 Glass Pool Fencing, operated by Neadan Group Pty Ltd, is a well-established family-owned business based in Wangara, Perth. The company specialises in the supply and installation of quality glass pool fencing, glass balustrading and aluminium fencing solutions across Perth and surrounding areas.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Welder (First Class) to join their team in Perth, Western Australia.

About the Role
The successful candidate will undertake welding, metal fabrication, assembly, repair and finishing work associated with glass pool fencing, aluminium fencing, balustrading and related projects. The role requires robust technical skills, accuracy, attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications and work instructions to determine welding and fabrication requirements.
- Select, measure, mark and prepare metal materials and components for fabrication.
- Cut, shape, bend and form metal sections and components using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Accurately position, align and secure components using measuring instruments, clamps, jigs and other equipment.
- Perform welding using appropriate welding processes and techniques.
- Set up and safely operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders and other fabrication tools.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality, alignment, dimensions and finish.
- Grind, file, smooth and finish welded and fabricated surfaces to the required standard.
- Carry out welding repairs, modifications and maintenance to metal components and structures.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Safely handle,



store and transport welding equipment, materials and fabricated components.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and other team members.
- Complete required job documentation and maintain accurate work records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and workplace procedures.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (MEM31922) or equivalent relevant trade qualification.
- At least three years of relevant welding and fabrication experience.
- Demonstrated experience in welding, metal fabrication, cutting, shaping and assembly.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.
- Ability to safely operate welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication equipment.
- Solid understanding of welding safety, procedures and quality requirements.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence, with Manual preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
- National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

- Working at Heights certification.
- Confined Space certification.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence.
- First Aid Certificate.
- HR Driver's Licence.
- Relevant welding tickets or qualifications for specific welding processes.
- Experience in aluminium fabrication, structural steel or related fencing fabrication.
- Experience in glass pool fencing, balustrading or architectural metalwork.
- Previous experience in construction, fabrication or installation environments.
